WATCH AND CLOCK
CLOCK - a device for showing time, which is usually found in or on a building and is NOT worn by a person
Examples:
The town-hall clock says 11 o'clock.
What an attractive kitchen clock!
WATCH - a small clock which is worn on a strap around the wrist or, sometimes, connected to a piece of clothing by a chain or carried in the pocket
Examples:
My watch seems to have stopped - it says 8:17 but I'm sure it must be later.
Right-handed people usually wear a watch on their left wrist.
